Shopping in Thailand

Serious shoppers and those just looking for a few souvenirs will find plenty to bring home from Thailand. Choose from big mega malls to street markets, or check out the beautiful (and amazingly well-priced) handicrafts.
Siam Square
Siam Square is a cluster of shops in central Bangkok with small boutiques, stalls, restaurants, movie theatres and cafes. The area is adjacent to one of Bangkok’s universities, so much of the merchandise is geared towards a younger crowd. There are plenty of cheap, fun, funky things to buy and plenty to eat, too.
MBK Mall
Some of the best shopping in Bangkok is at MBK, formally known as Mahboonkrong Mall. Though the mall is in the same neighborhood as some of the city’s expensive shopping centers, it caters to mid-market shoppers and has plenty of affordable clothes, shoes, accessories, electronics and souvenirs.
