Chinese New Year Festival

January/February

Thailand celebrates the new year not once or twice, but three times! Because of the large Chinese-Thai population and the country’s proximity to China, Chinese lunar new year is a big celebration here and food, shopping and performance celebrations continue for a week surrounding Chinese New Years day. In 2010 it Chinese New Year is on February 14.
