With the Vegetarian Festival over and November just about to begin, it's time to start thinking about Thailand's Loy Krathong Festival, which takes place this year on November 28. This event, which is best known because of the floats that people make and release into nearby rivers and other bodies of water, is one of the loveliest holidays of the year. It's celebratory, full of hope and happiness and it's very communal -- on the evening of Loy Krathong thousands of people in Bangkok make their way to the Chao Phraya River to release their krathong. Find out more about Loy Krathong and if you're going to be in Thailand in late November plan on celebrating, too!
