Don Muang

By October 29, 2012

As of the beginning of this month, Air Asia is using the old Bangkok international airport, Don Muang, as its hub in Thailand. While having two airports that both have international flights isn't ideal, it isn't all bad news for passengers. For one, Don Muang is closer to the center of the city. It's also a lot less crowded than Suvarnabumi. That's only a small consolation if you need to switch flights AND airports at the same time, but at least it's something. And if you do find yourself flying into one airport and catching a flight out of the other, make sure to give yourself at least FOUR hours between flights.
