Bangkok's Riverside Luxury Hotels

Though there are dozens of five star hotels in Bangkok, you're not really visiting in style unless you're staying at one of the city's riverside luxury hotels. Most of these are the oldest, grandest hotels in Bangkok and the competition seems to pale in comparison. Why? Maybe it's the fact that some of the hotels have sprawling grounds right on the river, or that the views of the Chao Phraya and the city surrounding it are stunning. Or perhaps it's just the feeling of being near the water that adds to the hotel experience. Whatever it is, it makes these hotels worth the extra cost.
